1982 Yamaha XZ550 Vision Tacoma, WA
Saturday, January 3rd, 2009Now in the 2000’s, if you want a motorcycle, it seems you have two choices: overpriced, underpowered cruisers, or kama sutra rocket bikes that are comfortable to ride for about 18 minutes. Back in the 1980’s, there were these motorcycles called standards or sport tourers. Although the Yamaha Vision wasn’t the best selling or best known of bikes back in the Reagan Administration, the Vision has a loving following. Talk to anyone at Riders of Vision to help you out if you’re interested in the venerable Vision, a bike before its time.
“I have a 1982 Yamaha Vision 550 for sale or trade. Great condition, super clean bike. 23,000 miles and stills runs and looks amazing. newer battery, shaft driven, liquid cooled V-Twin 4 stroke that starts every time. carbs cleaned and jetted about a year ago. The throttle cable is a little finicky but is a really easy fix, i just don’t have the time. This bike has lots of power. Comfortable to ride and I would take it anywhere in the country. Clean Title in hand.” This Yamaha Vision has sold.
