1986 Yamaha Fazer FZX 700 $2,250
Bonney Lake, WA
“1986 23,100 miles. Strong runner in fair-good shape. Genesis 5 valve has 87hp and does the 1/4 at 11.86 which beats alot of new bikes on the road. Comes with alot of extra parts and manuals. $2,250.”
…If you don’t know already, I have owned two 1986 Yamaha Fazers. One in 1987 brand new off the showroom floor, and one in 2000 from a North Bend seller. I would love to have a third Fazer, and the next one I get will be buried with me when I die. I’ve written previously about my love for the Yamaha Fazer here. They have the most awesome engines (the snarl alone will be enough to get your ATM card out), all-day comfort riding position and ergonomics, and styling that sets you apart and gets compliments. The engine on this Fazer for sale has low miles, but the fact that the seller says its in fair to good shape tempers my excitement a wee bit. Still, if you are seriously contemplating one of the coolest, most powerful, collectible bikes from the 1980s, this 1986 Yamaha Fazer is worth a look. Click to image or link to contact the seller.

The reason I say fair to good shape is because comparing to new it isn’t perfect. As you can see the pictures are great but up close its weathered and the aluminum pieces are corroded.I have done some detailing but to make right you would want to take parts off and refinish.Small blems here and there, rear chrome fender, plastic, etc. Some
surface rust in the nooks and crannies. Its garaged now.
