1984 Honda 700 Sabre $2,000 - Puyallup
“Honda’s V4 Standard bike 700 CC of smooth power. Bike is one you sit up on and is shaft drive with a 6 speed transmission. National Cycle windshield new battery, good tires. Maroon and black finish. Bike has 48,994 miles $2000.00 or OBO. Need to sell as I am no longer able to swing my leg over my bikes.”
…In 1984, the United States imposed a protective tariff (benefiting Harley Davidson motorcycles) of all motorcycles being imported into the country that were greater than 700cc. Honda did make a V45 Sabre in 1982 and 1983, but downsized/destroked the engine and thus was born the 700 Sabre. It existed for 1984 only. And the owner speaks the truth, it is a little tall, so it won’t be a short person’s choice. Very smooth sport-touring-cruising ride, I like the Sabre. Although, I do believe the asking price is a wee bit high, especially with the engine nearing 50k miles.
Motorcycle makers don’t make do-it-all comfortable standard bikes much anymore, this 700 Sabre from 1984 is a great example of when Honda tried to (and usually did) please everyone all throughout the moto riding spectrum. Click the ad and talk to the owner.
If this one is gone by the time you click the ad, lots more Sabres for sale here.
